Extending an arrangement when it is expired or revoked

Question

We would like to seek clarification on an edge case scenario regarding extension of an existing arrangement.

We assume that the extension of an existing arrangement is only allowed if the arrangement is still valid. i.e. the ADR cannot seek an extension after an arrangement is either expired or revoked by the customer.

If a request to extend an existing arrangement is made with cdr_arrangement_id in the PAR request and if the cdr_arrangement_id is not valid i.e., no active consent but we still recognize the cdr_arrangement_id, should we reject the request?

Answer

Yes. If there is no active consent associated to the cdr_arrangement_id then the request should be rejected. We may re-visit this in future if there are any community change requests or identified requirements that would allow re-cycling of a cdr_arrangement_id.
