Question
If a payee in a scheduled payment has the same BSB and account number as a registered payee in the customer's IB address book, is that payment considered to be to a registered payee?
This may occur where the customer ignores that the payee is already in their address book and adds their details again manually for the payment. If the bank source system does not identify the new payee with the existing address book payee, is it acceptable to use domestic
as the toUType
?
Answer
If the CDR solution is able to perform the match to a known payee then it is appropriate to set the toUType
field to payeeId
, provided that the consumer has consented to the payee scopes.
Where there is no matching saved payee, it is appropriate to set the toUType
field to domestic
.
