Question

Are Credit Card transactions in-scope for Direct Debit APIs, where a customer gives the merchant their credit card number for periodic deductions?

Answer

Periodic credit card payments are not considered direct debits. If the schedule is managed by the Data Holder (DH) then they may be considered scheduled payments.
