Question

We understand that the PayTo project will not affect Open Banking (OB) and that direct debit transactions specific to PayTo will follow the typical format of current direct debit transactions. Are there any issues related to PayTo we should consider, or any upcoming Consumer Data Standards (CDS) changes to prepare for?

Answer

PayTo is not currently accommodated by the CDS. It is not the intent for PayTo to be included in the Direct Debits API. Once PayTo is live we are anticipating a dedicated consultation on how to bring PayTo related data and transactions into the CDR.
