Question
Is there any requirement for Data Holders to report on complaints for Product Reference Data (PRD)?
Answer
Only Product Reference Data complaints made by other CDR participants (i.e. other data holders or Accredited Data Recipients (ADRs)) to the data holder are required to be reported on under rule 9.4. However, general consumer complaints about Product Reference Data (PRD) are not required to be reported on under rule 9.4, which is consistent with the definition of ‘CDR complaint data’ in rule 1.7 of the CDR rules.
The CDR Rules also require CDR participants to keep records which record and explain this CDR complaint data, and the ACCC may audit these records at any time.
