Question
As a Data Holder do I need to provide Consumer Data Right (CDR) data for Grandfathered products, i.e. products a Financial Institution (FI) may have advertised and offered publicly but are now older products, not advertised and consumers can no longer apply for these products as new. However our existing consumers may still have these products open. Do we, as a Data Holder, need to provide CDR data for all types of Grandfathered products or just publicly available products?
Answer
There are two sets of APIs that contain rates, fees, features etc. These are:
1. The public Product Reference Data APIs. These are unauthenticated and non-customer specific
2. The customer specific Account APIs. These authenticated and customer specific and represent a specific originated account
You do not need to provide data on grandfathered accounts for type 1 (the unauthenticated product reference data APIs).
You must provide data on grandfathered accounts for type 2 (the authenticated, customer specific account APIs).

HI Jarryd
With regards to:
You must provide data on grandfathered accounts for type 2 (the authenticated, customer specific account APIs).
Hi Jakub Vozarik,
It would be the former. If the customer has taken up 3 cards however the account feature allows the customer to have 4 cards, the feature would 4. The additionalInfo field may be used to describe the current number of cards the consumer has noting that the customer can apply for one more additional card.
Thanks
