Question
For the CommonOrganisation schema - registeredCountry field - Description reads "Enumeration with values from ISO 3166 Alpha-3 country codes. Assumed to be AUS if absent".
What is the correct interpretation of the word 'assumed'? If the data for the registeredCountry field is unavailable for this optional field, do Data Holders need to respond with null or AUS?
Answer
For the two questions around CommonOrganisation schema:
Q: What is the correct interpretation of the word 'assumed'?
A: It means the Accredited Data Recipient (ADR) will assume the value to be AUS as a default
Q: If the data for the registeredCountry field is unavailable for this optional field, do Data Holders need to respond with null or AUS?
A: If data is unavailable you do not need to include the field at all. Supplying null or AUS would both be acceptable, however, as all three responses would be interpreted the same way.
