Question
What is the process for communicating when a planned outage will occur and what is the defined period for 'advanced notice' timing?
Answer
As a Data Holder, you can communicate planned outages via the public Get Outages API (https://consumerdatastandardsaustralia.github.io/standards-staging/#get-outages). With this endpoint you can publish as many scheduled outages that you have forward scheduled and provide detail on whether it is a complete or partial outage of your Consumer Data Right(CDR) solution.
As for "advanced notice", timing should be on par with your existing digital banking channels. In other words, you should provide notice in a timely manner similar to your other channels.
Note that this is only required (from a compliance perspective) to be supported once your consumer data sharing obligations come into affect, however you are able to publish this end point before then.
If you have an unplanned outage, then the use of the Get Status API (https://consumerdatastandardsaustralia.github.io/standards-staging/#get-status) communicates any unplanned incidents and outages to your CDR solution.
