Will there be any further Consumer Experience (CX) guidelines or OAIC guidance (etc) released on the required Joint Account Management Service for Data Holders? There doesn’t seem to be much guidance available compared to consent flows and consumer dashboard.
We are not aware of any plan for additional OAIC guidance. The Data Standards Body (DSB) CX team, however, are constantly doing research and providing additional guidance and are anticipating uplift to the standards and guidelines. It is expected that this would include additional support for joint accounts, including the Joint Account Management Service, but the timing of these changes would depend on the outcome of the rules changes that the ACCC are currently considering and consulting on.
