Question
Is there an overview of how ADRs (Accredited Data Recipients) and DHs (Data Holders) interact?
I have become very familiar with the Consumer Data Standards documentation and the Consumer Data Right documentation, but I cannot find a process flow or guidelines that describe how they work together.
Which service endpoints does the ADR call to kick-start the DH authorisation flow? Is it in publicBaseUri or resourceBaseUri ?
Answer
The Client Registration section of the CDR Register Specification describes the process by which ADRs register dynamically with DHs. This section includes diagrams and prerequisites. Registering with Data Holders is recommended to occur prior to consumers engaging with your applications. Trust should be established before the consent flow is initiated by a consumer. The sequence diagram illustrating the Registration Flows may also help.
The ACCC and DSB acknowledge the need for guidelines to assist participants entering into the ecosystem and are making steps toward providing this content. The ACCC's recent CDR newsletter provides links to On-boarding information that may help.
This Consumer Data Right Support Portal provides a growing number of knowledge articles to bring the specifications together.
