Update
Change incorporated into the Consumer Data Standards v1.9.0
Question
In the Get Metrics API response schema many of the Properties are marked as conditional, but there are no conditions specified.
Refer ResponseMetricsListV2
Answer
In regards to the higher order objects this is a mistake in the Standards.
For lower level properties some are intentionally conditional based on the request query. If the response is filtered by "period" the response would return the appropriate time period conditional to what the client requested. Filtering by current day vs previous days is an example. Some properties should not be treated as conditional such as customerCount
and recipientCount
because they are not filtered on time period.
We ask that a Change Request be made in the Consumer Data Standards Maintenance Repository.
