If we are a bank and consume product reference data (PRD) of other participants and we receive a customer complaint around another participant's product (info about which was obtained via PRD Application Programming Interfaces APIs)), which was viewed on our channel, what is the expectation from a PRD consumer perspective?
Answer
Under the current definition of ‘CDR complaint data’ in rule 1.7, there is no requirement to report on any complaints from consumers about PRD. In relation to consumer complaints, data holders are only required to report on complaints made by CDR consumers relating to CDR consumer data under rule 9.4.
