Question
Do Authorised Deposit-taking Institutions (ADIs) need to be accredited to participate as a Data Holder?
Answer
Data holders are the providers that currently hold consumer data – for example, banks. Data holders are required to share a consumer’s data with a nominated accredited data recipient when the consumer directs them to. Data holders do not need to undergo an accreditation process to participate in the CDR and hold CDR data, however, if a data holder also wishes to receive CDR data, it must apply for accreditation as a data recipient.
